The Church is the gathering of all the baptized who affirm their faith in the risen Jesus. Organized into communities, each with their own structure and grouped into groups called the local church. Because of the separations that occurred within Christianity, a distinction is made between the Roman Catholic Church, the spiritual leader of which is the Pope, the Orthodox Church and the Church resulting from the reformation.
